Test Settings Menu

The Test Settings menu in the Test Editing window contains the features described below:

(Note: Many of these features have a corresponding button in one of the various toolbars; for example, the New Question button in the Questions Toolbar serves the same purpose as Test Settings > New Question.

• New Question: Click to choose the question type to add a new question.

• Clone Question: Creates duplicates of the question you are currently editing (or the highlighted question in the Test Editing Summary window). A dialog box asks how many duplicates you want to make. You can then edit the new questions normally. This feature is useful if you need many questions which differ only slightly.

• Move Question: Allows you to move the question you are currently editing to a different position in the test.

• Swap Question: Allows you to exchange the position of the question you are editing with any other question in the test.

• Remove Question: Allows you to delete the question you are editing (or all the highlighted questions in the Test Editing Summary window).

Section Properties

The Section Properties dialog contains the following options:

• Section Name

• Total Section Points

• Pass/Fail %

• Scoring Options

• Messages: There are two types of messages:

• Introductory message

• Post-section performance message

• Exit

• Randomization

• Time Limit

Test Properties

The Test Properties window allows you to change many important testing options, including:

• Test Activation

• Test Scoring

• Test Retakes

• Security Agreement

• Feedback and Tester Options

• Test Sharing
