Test scoring is set in the Test Settings > Test Properties > General tab when editing a test.
Note: Test scores are set on an absolute points scale, rather than a percentage scale. However, reports such as the Test Scores Reports will show a percentage result as well as the absolute points scale (i.e. 150 points out of 200, 75%).
A test must be saved before you can access Test Properties.
The score for any individual question can be edited at any time in the Question Points: box on the Question tab of the TG Toolbar. Edit this box by highlighting the appropriate question in the Test Editing Summary window, or when editing that question directly (by double-clicking the question in the Test Editing Summary window). Any changes made to an individual question automatically update the Test Total Score.
The Test Total Score can be checked at any time in the General folder. If the Test Total Score is changed, the existing question scores are scaled proportionally so that the sum is still equal to the Test Total Score.
Test Takers' scores on a test can be checked at any time by highlighting the test name in the Tree Directory on the Test Generator main window, and opening the Scores folder on the right side of the window.
Note: a test can be rescored at any time.
Test Generator calculates test scores automatically. However, Essay questions must be scored manually.
