Reports Overview

Before administering a test to Test Takers, you should always trial or practice the test first. This can be done in a number of ways, but below is the recommended procedure. For this procedure, we differentiate between "trial" data (used for trial or practice purposes only) and "production" data (ready for use in a real test environment).

Procedure for test trials

  1. Create a trial test taker.

  2. Create a trial class.

  3. Enroll only your trial test taker in your trial class.

  4. Create your test in the trial class.

  5. Trial the test in the appropriate Tester client.

  6. Edit the test to make any necessary changes.

  7. When you’re satisfied with the test, edit the test create the production test by doing a Save As… into your production class. (At this point you may want to delete the trial test from the trial class.)

  8. Adjust the test activation dates/times appropriately in the production test.

  9. Double-check the enrollment for the production class. (You may want to add your trial test taker to the enrollment for the production class.)

  10. Announce to Test Takers that the test is ready to take.
