Only those users enrolled in the class are eligible to take your test. There are several approaches for enrolling your users and getting your test taker profiles into TG. This topic reviews the manual method of creating users. For more details review Importing Users.
To enroll Test Takers:
Enter Test Takers into the Database by:
right-clicking the Users > Trainees module in the tree view,
clicking the New User icon in the toolbar, or
clicking File > New > User to create a new user.
Any of the above actions opens the New User dialog box.
Enter a user name (user names are
currently limited to 16 characters).
A User window opens
on the right side of the window.
Complete the User profile by filling-in the last name, first name, user id and password. You can add more (optional) information under the Personal and Notes tabs.
Assign each user an alphanumeric User ID and Password in the spaces provided. Users need this information to take the test. Note: User IDs and Passwords. can contain only letters and numbers with no spaces
Repeat the steps above to enter
each of your test takers. Once in the system, they can be enrolled
in your class.
Note: This process may vary based on the TG product used and
your registration requirements. If you are not sure, please contact us.
Note: Your enrollment roster can be imported into TG. For more
information, see Importing
and Exporting Users.
To enroll Test Takers in your class,
find your class in the Tree Directory and click it. The class information appears
on the right side, just as it did when you first created the class.
The Enrollment folder should
be open under the class description.
The left, All Test Takers,
column displays a list of all of the (currently) registered users.
To add a user into your class, highlight the name in the left column
and click Add>>. You
can continue to click the Add>>
button in rapid succession to add users. This works for short lists;
however, if you are enrolling many users we recommend organizing your
users into folders first, creating or importing users into their respective
folders and then enrolling your users by highlighting the folder in
the left column and clicking Add>>.
This enrolls all of the users in that folder. If you don’t want all
of the users in the folder, select which ones you don't want under
the Enrolled in this Class
column and click << Remove.
Note: As mentioned earlier, this process may vary based on the
TG product used and your registration requirements. Other options
include AD/LDAP, self-registration as well as various e-commerce registration
models. To learn more, please contact
us for details.
