The Survey Report outlines a Test Taker's responses to your survey. The report displays each question, the number of responses, and a statistical representation of the responses for each question type. Survey Reports present aggregate data indicating the number/frequency of responses per question.
In the tree view, select Reports > Survey.
The tree view expands, displaying a string of Course icons.
Selecting the [course] icon displays a table listing test activity. You can sort this list by the column headers.
Right-click your row selection to display the output options.
Note: you can also activate the display options from the File menu or icon toolbar. They include Preview, Print and Export: Preview displays reports in a separate window.
The report window contains an icon toolbar with print, print setup, export, magnification and find icons.
Export displays the various output formats supported in TG Reports: .csv, .txt, .rtf, .xls, .pdf, .doc
Below is a brief description of the how to interpret the Survey Report for each question type. Note: Point and Click questions and Fill in the Blank questions are not supported for surveys.
For Multiple Choice questions, the report lists the letter of each choice of response (A-J) then the text of each choice of response, then the percentage of Test Takers who chose that choice.
For True False questions, the report shows the percentage of Test Takers who chose True and the percentage of Test Takers who chose False.
For Checkboxes questions, the report lists the letter of each choice of response (A-J) then the text of each choice of response, then the percentage of Test Takers who chose that choice.
For Ordering questions, the report shows a table. In the leftmost column is the choice of each response (A-J) followed by the text of each choice of response. The next columns are headed 1-10. In each row under each of these column headers is the percentage of Test Takers who chose the answer in that order. (For example, the "A" row may read 25 under the "1" column, 50 under the "2" column, and 25 under the "4" column. This means 25% of the Test Takers chose A as #1, 50% chose A as #2, and 25% chose A as #4.)
For Short Answer and Essay questions, the report simply lists the text of the responses. However, the report can only show the first 256 characters of any given response. If your survey includes an Essay question with longer responses, see Scoring Essay Questions.
