Before reviewing this topic and using this feature we assume:
You have a good understanding of how to navigate through TG and have already had some experience creating, editing, activating and taking a test.
You have generated one or more reports and have a basic understanding of how the various Report options work.
If not, we recommend QuickStart (see the Table of Contents).
The Study Guide is a multi-purpose feature that can be enabled as part of a test taking experience or used to generate post-test reports. In TG, a Study Guide refers to a report, which is a "snap-shot" of a test taker’s test. Study Guide displays the test taker’s answers, or the test taker’s answers and the test key. At the conclusion of a test-taking session, a test author can:
Include a Test or Test Key printout.
Include a Study Guide or a Study Guide and Test Key printout.
To generate a test study guide:
Select Test Settings > Test Properties > Options tab in the Test Editing window.
Click Study Guide under After the Test to open the Test Study Guide / Test Key Options dialog.
There are four options for Study Guide / Test Key Type:
Test
Test Key
Study Guide
Study Guide and Test Key
There are two print options:
Print at the end of the Test
Only Include Missed Questions
If you do decide to enable this option, it should only be done in a proctored environment and for individual test taking sessions or for small groups/short tests. In most cases, we do not recommend providing choosing the printout at the end of a test. This is especially true for long tests and/or where many test takers are involved.
