Tests can be imported and exported from Test Generator in the main window. A Test Generator test or a list of test questions can be exported and shared with another testing center, or manipulated manually in another program. A test from another testing center or a custom test can also be imported into Test Generator.
Test Generator tests from another testing center or a test you have previously exported can be imported into your Test Generator. These files are in the format testname.mdb.
Custom tests can be imported into Test Generator in the following formats: Microsoft Excel 5.0, Microsoft Excel 8.0 (97), or a comma-delimited text file.
We've created two online tutorials:
Note: This link may not work in Firefox, Netscape, or other Mozilla-based browsers; we recommend Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher. If you use either Firefox or Netscape as your default browser, you may have to copy and paste this link into I.E.
Tests in other formats can be converted to these formats using resources such as Microsoft Word's Find and Replace feature.
Tests can be exported for use by another testing center or as an extra backup. The exported test has the format testname.mdb. This test can be imported back into any Test Generator.
This process is the reverse of importing custom tests. You can export any existing test into a Microsoft Excel 5.0, Microsoft Excel 8.0 (97), or a comma-delimited text file.
Note: This is a distinct process from exporting questions into the Test Generator Question Bank.

Test Generator enables you to export SCORM-compliant tests into a learning management system (LMS). The SCORM module is compatible with TG Web and is available to customers who have purchased this feature with their TG Web installation. For more information, contact us.
The Scorm 1.2 menu is located on the home page: File > Export > Scorm 1.2.
You create a test in Test Generator and publish (activate) it. Once the test is ready, you prepare a course (test). This test is then imported/registered through a SCORM console (LMS). When the test is selected, it can be taken.
From the tree view, select your completed test.
Select File
> Export >Scorm 1.2.
An export window opens. The File name field contains the class name
and the name of your test. The Save
as type field reads SCORM Zip File (*zip). Select a location/directory
and click the Save button.
This file contains the various elements that allow you to import and
register this test within your LMS system. The exact process may vary
based on how/where you deploy the test.
Once the test is deployed, your test takers access the test through the LMS system. The actual testis taken in Tester. The various test behaviors depend on which test properties were selected by the test author.
