Survey results can be checked via the Survey Report with the exception of essay questions. If you've included an essay question in your survey, you must check the essay separately.
The Survey Report outlines Test Takers' responses to your survey. It shows the text of each question, the number of responses to each question, and a statistical representation of the responses for each question type.
The interface used to view the text of a survey essay question is virtually identical to that used to score a test essay question. Use the steps below.
Select the survey containing the essay question(s) in the Tree Directory on the left side of the main Test Generator window.
Click the Results tab on the right side of the window.
Click the View Essay button under the white test taker scores window.
The Essay Score Summary window opens.
At the top of the Essay Score Summary window is the Essay Score Toolbar. Below that is the summary list of every test taker's response to each essay question in the survey. Double-click any test taker's response in the list to see the text of the person's test essay in the Essay Score window.
The main white field of the Essay Score window contains the text of the test taker's essay. If you want to insert comments, click anywhere in the text. Comments are highlighted in blue and surrounded by brackets to differentiate them from the text of the essay. You can print the essay with your comments by clicking the Print icon in the Essay Score Toolbar.
On the right side of the Essay Score window is an Instructor Comments field. This field is designed for test Essay questions. Use this area for your own reference; comments entered here are not printed with the essay, and therefore are never seen by the test taker.
The Points field in the upper right of the Essay Score window represents the total point value the test creator assigned to the essay question. The Score field represents the essay score awarded to the test taker. These fields are designed for test Essay questions.
After typing comments and giving an essay score, click the Save icon on the Essay Score Toolbar to save your work and then click the Summary List icon on the Essay Score Toolbar to return to the Essay Score Summary window.
After scoring all the essay questions, click the Back to Main Menu icon on the Essay Score Toolbar to return to the Test Generator Main window.
