Users Overview

Every TG Administrator and Instructor has a set of user permissions. (Test Takers do not have permissions because they can only log in to Tester.) Instructor permissions can be set by any Administrator to allow or disallow access to certain Test Generator features and options.

Administrator permissions can only be set by the Admin Administrator. The most common use of user permissions is for an Administrator to keep an Instructor from being able to delete classes, or from being able to view system logs or system locks.

Note: Instructors cannot change permissions. They do not have access to any users other than Test Takers. Instructors also do not have access to System Settings.

User permissions can be found under the user's name (in the appropriate Test Takers, Instructors, or Administrators folder) under Users in the Tree Directory. Permissions is one of the five tabs corresponding to five folders for each user on the right side of the window.
