Before reviewing this topic, and using this feature we recommend you:
Review the QuickStart topics.
Review the Test Generator Question Bank.
This topic deals with:
Using a test "wizard" to streamline the test creation process.
Creating a test that randomly selects questions from one or more question banks and generates a test in a matter of minutes.
You have reviewed the TG Help topics described above.
Prior to creating a test using TW, you created one or more question banks (subjects).
These question banks contain questions.
From TG’s main window, click the
Test Wizard button () to open the Test Wizard window.
Type in a test name (< 20 chars), and a description (optional).
Click Next.
If you have not previously created a class, choose/highlight the Sample Class or cancel Test Wizard, return to the main window, create a class and repeat Step 1. If you choose the Sample Class, click Next.
The next window contains two columns. The left pane contains a list of all the banks and the right column is empty. Select/highlight a bank in the left column and click the Add button to include that item in the right pane. Repeat the process, adding as many Question Banks as you wish. Note: If the selected bank is empty you receive a "The Question Bank selected does not contain any questions." Message. Click Next.
The next window displays a table
listing the selected Question Banks and, under the Questions column,
the number of available questions in each bank. The objective is to
specify a subset of questions for each bank. For example, if the number
of available questions for Subject 1 is 100, type a number less than
or equal to 100 in the Select column. Test Wizard randomly selects
(and adds) the number of questions you specified from that Question
Bank.
Note: You must specify a number for at least one of the Question
Banks before you can move forward – TG assumes if you selected the
Question Bank in the first place, you intended to add questions from
that Question Bank into your test.
Once you've selected a number for each Question Bank, click Next.
A "Finished!" prompt appears, indicating you have successfully created a test. Click Finish.
A notice appears with a congratulatory note asking whether or not you want to edit your test now. If you select Yes, TG opens your test for your review/editing. If you select No, the wizard closes and returns to the main menu. You can open your newly created test whenever you wish.
