Several of the test-security parameters are now consolidated under the Security tab.

Security Agreement

The Security Agreement replaces the Security Agreement option available in pre-2.4.12 versions of TG. The disclaimer option has been replaced by the pre- and post-test Message options, allowing more flexibility in the presentation of test information.

Security Parameters

This section’s Security Parameters features were originally organized under Tester Options in pre-2.4.12 versions of TG. These options allow for more restrictive test behaviors. With the exception of the Enforce Secure Testing option, these features are available in any TG Desktop or LAN installation.  Enforce Secure Testing is an optional plug-in designed for TG Web (intra- or internet) accounts.

Dual Login

Use: Proctored testing environments requiring test-taker validation before testing is authorized.

Process: The test taker logins in to Tester and selects a dual-login-activated test. Once selected, a second login window appears. This second login window requires an administrative-level user login. This feature adds another level of security by allowing the proctor to authenticate the test taker as part of the test login process.

Forward Only

In Tester, the Back and Summary buttons are disabled (grayed-out). The Tester Summary List becomes visible only after every question has been completed (skipped or answered). If a test taker does not select an answer before navigating to the next question, the skipped question is scored as incorrect.

Accept Only First Answer

The test taker can change an answer only while in the same question window. The answer cannot be changed after navigating to another question. Useful if combined with the Show Correct Answers after each Question option.

Enforce Secure Testing

Use: Proctored testing environments requiring "locked-down" test sessions.

This Tester feature can be enabled in a Windows or browser-based testing environment. Unlike the regular tester, this special-case Tester environment treats the testing session in a "kiosk" mode. Ctrl, Alt, Print Screen, the navigation (arrow) key, the Escape key, F-keys and Alt+Tab are all disabled. In addition, the Internet Browser’s Minimize and Close buttons are disabled. The goal: improve test security by eliminating security loopholes. This feature is a separate add-on utility, and requires the purchase of our SecureTG utility. There are two versions of this utility. Please contact us for more details.

Enable window Capture and Copy/Paste

Note: By default, screen capture and copy/paste are disabled during a test-taking session. Checking this feature enables screen capture and copy/paste.

Uses: Copying sample Tester windows for instructional/presentation purposes.
