Importing Print Templates

The following areas within Test Generator use the rtf editor:

The rtf editor is a feature used for print templates and various rtf-enabled test properties (listed above) and influences the display and print output of the Study Guide and Test Key reports. The RTF format in TG provides test authors with an unparalleled range of customization options which control or influence the display of information before, during and after testing.

TG's out-of-the-box print template is located under System > Settings > Print Template and is stored in TG's database. This default print template is associated with each new test you create. The information displayed in the Print Preview or Print commands is based on this default template (if you don't need to print tests or modify the Study Guide or Test Key reports, then you can ignore the print template).

TG gives you the option of editing the template by adding or removing text and placeholders. If you do want to modify the display and print output of these two reports, then you need to modify either the default (system) print template, or:

Note: Before editing the template, save a copy (Save To File) in a different location. If you corrupt the copy you are editing, or decide you do not want the changes you've made, you can import the template back into Test Generator. You can also contact us and we’ll email you a copy.
