Overview of Test Generator Reports
Test Generator reports can be printed or exported to a useful file format. Beginning with TG2.4.12, reports have been consolidated into a separate TG Reports utility. Open TGR by clicking the Reports icon in the tree view on TG’s home page. As in earlier versions, reports can be previewed, printed and exported.
From TG Reports, you can view a variety of reports. To review Test Scores for a particular test:
Click the + sign beside the Test Scores icon to display the courses you've created.
Select the course icon containing
the test (results) you want to access.
The tests under that course display in a table on the right side of
the window.
Select the row representing the test you want to review.
Note: You may print many different types of reports, including reports by class or test taker.
Report printing options are accessible from the icon toolbar. You may also select the row of the item you want to print and right-click to display the print options, Print Summary and Print Details.
Exporting options are accessible in the same manner as the print options: from the toolbar or by right-clicking on a specific test in the table displayed on the right side of the window.
Test results can be exported to a variety of formats including:
Comma Separated Values *.csv
Text *.txt
Rich Text Format *.rtf
MS Excel *.xls
Adobe Document *.pdf
MS Word *.doc
Other file formats are also accessible from an open report’s icon toolbar, which, when clicked, displays an export window of additional options.
Note: not all these options necessarily render a report with intelligible results. If needing something other than the standard .txt, .rtf, .xls, .pdf, .doc formats, then we suggest selecting one of the available options and determining whether or not the output is suitable for your purposes.
