Ordering questions require the test taker to put a list of steps in numerical order.
Click the blue +Q, Question button, or select Test Settings > New Question. A list of the 11 question types appears.
Select Ordering. The Ordering question-type appears in the yellow box at the top of the window.
Enter your question text in the yellow box at the top of the window. Delete, or type over, the introductory text. Type your question as you want it to appear on the test.
Click the +A (Answer) icon at the top of the window. Four answer boxes appear (you may add/remove answers) below the yellow question box.
Click the mouse in each box and enter the answer text as you want it to appear on the test.
Put the answers in correct order by clicking the small squares outside the answer boxes. (You can click these squares again to change the order.)
For a random display of answers, click the Show Answers Randomly icon ()or select Test Settings > Show Answers Randomly.
Note: Random answers must be set for each question individually; it does not apply to the entire test.
If the question allows partial credit be sure to click the appropriate Partial Credit icon.
Uses: Procedural questions requiring the test taker to identify a specific ordering of events, processes, and components/objects. This question type is also useful for matching questions.
