CheckBoxes questions can have up to ten answer choices. One or more of these answer choices can be correct, unlike Multiple Choice questions, for which only one answer can be correct. When answering a CheckBoxes question, the test taker must select all the correct answers to receive full credit (the test taker can receive partial credit if you have enabled that option for the question).
Click the blue +Q, Question button, or select Test Settings > New Question. A list of the 11 question types appears.
Select CheckBoxes. The CheckBoxes question-type appears in the yellow box at the top of the window.
Enter your question text in the yellow box at the top of the window. Delete, or type over, the introductory text. Type your question as you want it to appear on the test.
Click the +A Answer button at the top of the window. Four answer boxes appear (you may add or remove answers) below the yellow question box.
Click the mouse in each box and enter the answer text as you want it to appear on the test.
Select all the correct answers by clicking the small squares outside the appropriate answer boxes. (A CheckBoxes question can have multiple correct answers.)
For a random display of answers, click the Show Answers Randomly icon ()or select Test Settings > Show Answers Randomly.
Note: Random answers must be set for each question individually; it does not apply to the entire test.
If the question allows partial credit be sure to click the appropriate Partial Credit icon.
